Skeet League
Looking to improve your shotgun skills? Come join in with our experienced shotgun competitors during the monthly Skeet League.
You will find a relaxing afternoon of thrown clays and shotgun fun.
Match Dates and Times
Skeet League will be held the first Sunday of each month starting in April and ending in October. League will start at 2:00pm.

$10 for two rounds of skeet shot
Equipment
- Eye and ear protection
- A shotgun of .410, 28, 20, or 12 gauge of brake, pump or auto loading action
capable of firing two rounds without reloading will be used.
- 50 shotgun shells with shot size no larger than 7 1/2
Course of Fire
Competitor will be placed in a squad of no more than 5 competitors. The first competitor in the
shooting order will start on station 1 while other competitors stand quietly to the side.
With both feet on the station’s pad competitors will load no more than two rounds, gun may be mounted on their shoulder,
and call “pull”. Birds will be thrown within one second of being called for. After all competitors have shot that station the squad will move to the next station.
- Station 1: single high house target, single low house target, high house and low house target (doubles)
- Station 2: single high house target, single low house target, high house and low house target (doubles)
- Station 3: single high house target, single low house target
- Station 4: single high house target, single low house target
- Station 5: single high house target, single low house target
- Station 6: single high house target, single low house target, high house and low house target (doubles)
- Station 7: single high house target, single low house target, high house and low house target (doubles)
- Station 8: single high house target, single low house target
The first target that a competitor misses will immediately be reshot as an option making 25 shots total.
If no targets are missed then station 8 low house will be shot twice.
Safety
- All guns must be unloaded at ALL times and may not be loaded until on station’s shooting pad.
Any competitor in violation of this rule will result in match disqualification.
- Weather loaded or unloaded guns must be pointed in a safe direction at all times when on the skeet field.
- When off the skeet field guns should be placed on gun rack or in competitor’s vehicle with actions open.
- Break action guns may be closed before being placed in gun rack but competitor should show empty gun to anyone
at gun rack before closing action.
- Pump and autoloading guns will require the use of empty chamber indicators at all times when not on the skeet field.
Chamber indicators will be provided.
- Competitor may not step off station pad with live ammunition in gun or with action closed. Any competitor in violation of this rule
will receive one warning before match disqualification and all targets at that station will be scored as missed.
- No hulls will be picked up until the match is over, skeet machines are turned off and arms released. At this time all hulls will be picked
up and competitors will have the opportunity to pick out their hulls.
- Eye and hearing protection will need to be worn by anyone on the shotgun range at all times regardless of participation in match.
- All competitors not in the squad on the skeet field and spectators will stay under the shed until current squad is done shooting.
- No shot larger than 7 ½ and no shot weight more than 1 1/8 will be used.
